My First Cover!

I was wondering when I was going to get the cover of the newspaper and today my dream came true.  Two images (I hope) will be put on tomorrow's front page regarding a 1921 dated time capsule found and opened in Harvey High School in Painesville, OH.  Harvey's new high school just opened in November and this capsule was found during the construction of the new school.  Contents included - old newspapers from 1921, class photos, and class list.  Harvey High School is making their own 2010 time capsule and putting the News Herald among three other papers, cell phones, DVD's, magazines, and a yearbook from 2010.  My photo from my first day of work is being put into a time capsule.  Sweet.  My next assignment was to photograph a photographer photographing dogs.  (that was a mouthful)  Kris Lang is the owner of Thoughtful Images Photography Studio located in Painesville, OH.  She is currently accepting entries for her contest to benefit A Labor of Love Dog Rescue.  Twelve dogs will be selected via the public's votes and will be photographed for a 2011 calendar.  Here are my images for today.

President of the Class of 2010 at Harvey High School, Ian Jones and Superintendent Dr. Michael P. Hanlon, Jr. remove a newspaper dated back from 1921.  The time capsule was found during the construction of the new Harvey High School and was opened on June 2nd, 2010 at Harvey High School.

Barry Deane looks at an old high school senior class photograph from 1921 where his mother is pictured in the photograph.  This photograph was in the Harvey High School Time Capsule and was among other photographs, newspapers, and writings from the year 1921.
